About Me:

Birth and Schooling: (1979 - 1996)
I was born in Pallathur (T.N.) a village in southern India (near Karaikudi, Currently in Sivagangai District). My schooling was the most exciting one. I have been travelling all along my school days as my father (he was working in Indian Bank) used to get transferred every year or atleast every alternate year. I have done my schooling from First Class to 12 Class in 10 different schools (!! 9,10 and 11,12 I studies in same school). My mom rarely allowed me to play during my final exam holidays as she insisted me to prepare for the entrance test to get admitted in the next school (even she used to get ready to move to next town/state, !! Hats off to you my dear mom !!).

Under Grad Days: (1996-2000)
I applied for couple entrance exams around Tamil Nadu to get admitted for an engineering programme. Finally, me and my luck hug each other at outskirts of pondicherry in Pondicherry Engineering College. College days were the most memorable and cherishable days. To my surprise I found atleast 10 other guys (yes guys, not girls ;-) from my 12th class got admitted to the same college and department as I did. I graduated as a Engineer in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) stream in May 2000.

Life @ IBM: (2000-2005)
IBM was the 4th company and my dream company to enter my college for campus recruitment in June 1999 (I was in my pre-final year). I got my first Job on 19 June 1999, 5:45 PM. I actually floated in air for some time when I got the offer. I Joined IBM in Aug 2000 after completing my Bachelor of Technology in ECE. I initially landed in IBM India Software Labs, working for IBM Unix Operating System in Bangalore. Then, I moved to Application Management Services group in IBM, and worked on many customer engagements.

Life @ IISC: (2005 - 2006)
Yes, it was a challenge to get through the ERP (External Reistration Program) interview in IISc. (It is not a regular corporate interview though). Finally it did happen. I am doing assignments and home works after 5 years of corporate life. All I want to say about IISc is its "environment". Its ambience, culture that it provides for academically hyper-genetic people. I think my explanation of greatness of IISc in any aspect would actually lessen it, so I stop here.

Life Continues at IBM(2006 - Till date):
I got married to Meenal and we lived in airport road Bangalore, India for few months. Later I shifted to IBM T J Watson Research Center, Yorktown heights, NY to work in collaboration with IBM Center for Business Optimization on various applied Operations Research problems.
